Merry Xmas from Pink Bins - Pink Bins

What a year it has been. There have been good times; however, it would be fair to say that the past 12 months haven’t been all ‘beer and skittles.’ Anyway, you made it! It’s time to take a well-deserved break.

A Red-Light Holiday

You can do most things in Auckland under the current Red traffic-light setting — so long as you’re fully vaccinated. Of course, there are some rules:

  • There is a limit of 100 people at home gatherings (25 if you’re unvaccinated)
  • Hospitality venues and events can host up to 100 people with a minimum of one-meter social distancing.
  • We still have to wear masks when visiting shops or taking public transport, like busses and taxies.

If you travel to an Orange-light area, there will be no capacity limits.

Escaping the City of Sails

Since December the 15th, if you want to get out of Auckland, you can, although you may be subjected to random police spot-checks.  If you’re fully vaccinated, you’re good to go. However, if you’re not, you need to have had a negative Covid-19 test 72 hours before departure.

Hire & win

In between chilling out at the beach, the Xmas period is a good time to have a clean-up. So between the 15th and 31st of December, you can hire a Pink Bin and keep it until January the 9th at no extra cost. Also, you’ll go into a draw for a weekend away in Matakana — that’s two nights, plus petrol and food valued at $1000 on us! How does that sound? For more information, click this link

Stay safe

Make sure you’re COVID-safe these holidays. Don’t let your guard down! So, keep on sanitising, scanning and wearing a mask where necessary.

Don’t forget, though, that COVID isn’t the only thing that can spoil your holiday. There are the same old dangers that have always been there. So, be careful when driving—relax and take your time. Also, take care at the beach — swim between the flags, and wear plenty of sunscreen.

From the team at Pink Bins, merry Xmas! Enjoy your summer break, and we’ll see you in 2022.
